Managing quality team in automotive transmission industry.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with Metaldyne M A Bluffton LLC, responsible in part for implementing, maintaining and improving the Quality Management System based on IATF16949 requirements and operational excellence policies, procedures, and programs in a heavily automated transmission component manufacturing facility to improve quality and reduce costs; meeting quality standards by enforcing production, productivity, quality, cost, customerservice, safety, security, and health standards, resolving operational problems and improving work process using PPA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, PFMEAControl Plan, Reverse PFMEA, MSA, QA Matrix, and other quality tools and methods; and directing quality activities, including quality model line workshops, Kaizen, processproductsystem assessments, FTQ Improvement, scrap reduction, including the development of training materials and the use of best practices. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable concepts and issues, a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Manufacturing Engineering, or related degree, or foreign equivalent education, and 5 years of postbaccalaureate progressive experience working in the automotive manufacturing field, is required, as the position involves directing Quality Team and Plant for ontime APQP process for new launches and product running changes process capability and product approval to ensure a vertical rampup; and managing plant supplier quality performance including problem solving analysis, sorting parts, interaction with supply chain management.
