Specific Skills:H.10B Must have Masters degree in Biological Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related scientific field, and 1 year of experience as a scientific writer, including experience with the following 1 Research publication related activities, including communicating with authors and coauthors; writing and editing manuscripts; managing submission of manuscripts and managing communication with reviewers. 2 Patentrelated activities, including facilitating technical communication between Ph.D. level scientists and external intellectual property legal counsel; managing submission of patent applications; and writing and editing patent applications. 3 Developing and distributing press releases and multimedia assets, including video, images and infographics to accompany news releases.br H.12 PLEASE NOTE that the requirements bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation of Technical Writer, in the context of the biotechnology industry and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner. All of our Scientific Writers have at least the education and experience listed in the minimum requirements, and we would not hire anyone who did not possess these credentials. This employee must have the indepth, complex, and theoretical understanding of biotechnology concepts and principles, as well as research methodology, gained through a university degree in order to provide the level of research support for molecular engineering required of this position. As this employee is responsible for working on research publications, patentrelated activities, and scientific and medical materials, her research methodology skills must be excellent. Because of the nature of this position, the advanced responsibilities it entails, the highly specialized duties specific to the tightly regulated pharmaceutical industry, and the serious consequences of errors in our scientific publications, we have determined that a combination of a university education and handson experience is necessary specifically, a Masters degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
