This is a Principal Software Architect position all of our Principal Software Architects have at least the education and experience listed in the minimum requirements, and we would not hire anyone who did not possess these credentials. This employee must have the indepth, complex, and theoretical understanding of computer systems and application development, gained through a university degree, in order to provide the level of software design and development services required of this position. As this employee is responsible for providing technical direction and goal setting for the ongoing maintenance and upgrade of a hospital enterprise application, his technical skills must be excellent. In addition, because of the senior nature of this position, the advanced responsibilities it entails including representing ISD at project coordination meetings and assisting management in forecasting the project budget, the industryspecific duties including working to meet the needs of several departments that different from each other yet specific to the hospital and clinical environments, and the serious consequences of software issues when working within the highly regulated hospital and clinical research environments, the employer requires extensive handson experience. We have determined that a Bachelors and 6 years of progressively responsible postdegree experience are the minimum qualifications necessary to perform this position.
