Experience must include one year of performing substantive testing on complex areas of clients balance sheets and income statements, including alternative investments and participant accounts; performing audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards GAAS, applying knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ERISA; utilizing audit software to perform planning, testing and reporting for audit engagements, and utilizing audit tools to enhance audit quality; reviewing clients annual reports, and interacting with clients to discuss audit issues; working with complex areas of clients balance sheets and income statements, including alternative investments and management estimates; interacting with accounting and auditing specialists within complex accounting areas, including valuationpricing, tax, information technology specialists, and actuarial specialists; utilizing advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, VLookup, and macros, and data analytics tools, including Tableau; interacting directly with senior management of the audit team and audit clients to discuss auditing findings, issues, and resolution; mentoring and coaching junior staff; and evaluating and assessing reporting of tax compliance issues related to qualified plan audits.
