Specific Skills:The position requires a Bachelors degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related field of study and two 2 years of experience in the position offered or in a laboratory or scientific research role. The position requires two 2 years of experience with the following skills experience with general documentation practices and good manufacturing GMP compliance with data entry forms, with specific attention to details; working knowledge of and practical experience with good laboratory practices GLP in a microbiology lab environment; experience with microbiology techniques, including Gram staining, isolation plating, media preparation, and microorganism identification methods; experience with common microbiology lab instrumentation, including autoclaves, air samplers, light microscope, biohazard cabinets, and water purification system; and experience with basic lab safety, biohazard, and chemical waste disposal practices. The position also requires one 1 year of experience with the following hands on experience with basic lab equipment, including pH, balances, water baths, and other equipment common to microbiology methods.
