Will alternatively accept four years of experience in a prototype development or purchasing position, in lieu of a Bachelor Degree and two years of experience in a prototype development or purchasing position. 2 years of experience with each of the following leading automotive steering system prototype development and manufacturing processes, including all associated purchasing, planning, scheduling, and logistics operations; coordinating automotive steering system prototype component sourcing, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and shipping operations; ensuring adequate supplies of parts and materials for prototyping research, development, and manufacturing operations, including sourcing orders for all required prototyperelated parts throughout a supply chain; ensuring that new suppliers have the production and delivery infrastructure required to properly and efficiently support ongoing prototype development and manufacturing operations; preparing requests for quotations for automotive steering system prototype parts and components, including analyzing quotations received and negotiating with suppliers; monitoring key performance indicators for prototype development and production, including production plans, materials release and shipment schedules, delivery timing, logistical efficiency, and inventory levels.
