Experience must include eighteen months of providing recommendations to clients on trade flow organization and import and export processes by leveraging U.S. Customs valuation, importexport classification, and special trade programs; developing operational global trade models to provide process improvement planning and implementation assistance and providing customs and export audit assistance and representation before global customs and trade authorities around the world; preparing documentation capturing business requirements and gap analysis for trade processes and technology solutions; utilizing global trade management software to aid importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance, automated internal controls, and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain and implementing import and export regulations by utilizing and leveraging various trade data and information sources; assisting clients to develop and implement export licensing program for new products and existing products enduser sanctions screening tools required to identify restricted and sanctioned parties by the Department of Commerce, Department of Treasury, and State Department; designing export compliance programs for clients based on their export and business operational activities; providing dutyreduction planning including foreign trade zones, bonded warehouses, free trade programs, duty drawback, and preferential trade agreements and supporting import compliance activities related to noninventory products including engineering samples, prototypes, and demo equipment; providing process improvement planning and implementation assistance for global trade programs and internal and external training on import and export regulations and compliance requirements; identifying applicability of other government agency requirements as applicable to product imports including FCC, FDA, and DDTC; and mentoring a team of junior trade compliance analysts, providing them with training, and guiding them with compliance research required for various trade compliance operations and regulations.
