Also required is 2 years of experience utilizing Informatica Power Center to execute ETL procedures and create mappings, sessions, and workflows for populating data into dimension, fact, and lookup tables simultaneously from different source systems; developing and maintaining ETL mapping to extract data from various sources, including Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, Flat files and xml files; utilizing table functions, indexes, table partitioning, collections, analytical functions, materialized views, query rewrite, and transportable table spaces; utilizing SQL query performance tuning; performing requirements gathering for production releases, review of functional design and impact analysis, planning of testing scenarios and preparation of test cases; working closely with project managers and business users to formalize a business idea and define requirements; coordinating joint application development sessions with business analysts and source developers in order to perform data analysis; implementing the data warehousedata mart development life cycle by utilizing ETL technologies; writing UNIX shell scripts for Informatica pre and postsession operations; utilizing SDLC methodologies, including waterfall and agile, for database development; performing data warehousing design and applying data modeling concepts, including Ralph Kimball Methodology and starbr schemasnowflake schema; and handling large amounts of data for data cleansing, data scrubbing and data quality.
