Specific Skills:Job Requirements Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering or a closely related field by the effective date of appointment.br br Special SkillsRequirements Ability to contribute to existing courses and research activities in nuclear engineering, as well as to develop new avenues of research and teaching all areas of nuclear engineering shall be considered. Relevant research includes the areas of nuclear power, reactor physics and fuel management, thermal hydraulics, nuclear materials, nuclear medicine and medical physics, nuclear and radio chemistry, plasma processing and engineering, isotope production and accelerator physics, radiation detection, and nonproliferation, policy, and security. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated research success that complements existing UT strengths and with the vision to develop collaborative research activities. In addition to demonstrated excellence in research and the potential for developing a highly visible, externally funded research program, successful candidates will also be committed to highquality undergraduate and graduate teaching.
