Specific Skills:The position requires a Doctor of Medicine MD degree or foreign degree equivalent plus three 3 years of experience in internal medicine. Must be Board eligiblecertified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Must be eligible for or possess a valid, unrestricted medical license and DEA to practice medicine in the State of Georgia. The position requires any amount of education or experience in the following skills experience analyzing and approving any medical or surgical admissions; experience providing emergency room analysis for triage, admission or discharge; experience assessing and authorizing transfers of appropriate patients from outside hospitals to tertiary care center; experience ensuring safe transfer of medically stable patients from various intensive care units ICUs to the general medical floor; experience performing and documenting initial history and physical HP, completing and documenting daily visits, and completing discharge summaries at conclusion of hospital stay for assigned patients; and experience identifying change in clinical status that requires transfer to the ICU to escalate care andor for closer supervision.
