Specific Skills:The position requires a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer or related. The position requires travelsometimes to locations with challenging environmental conditions within and outside the U.S. more than 70 of the time. Experience must include Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and schematics and analyze and modify blueprints; Experience with OMICRON, Doble, and Megger and similar electrical measurement equipment; Knowledge of international electrical and technical standards IEEE, IEC, NETA, NEC, and CIGRE; Experience with transformer installation with power up to 500kV; Knowledge of different types of transformers with or without tank expansion, cooling system ONAN, ONAF, OFAF, and types of insulating fluids; Performing and interpreting transformer tests, Winding Resistance, Excitation Current, SFRA, Capacitance and Power Factor, Current Transformer Testing, measurement of dew point, insulation resistance and arrester tests; Experience using oil processors, vacuum pumps, filters and dry air machines; Experience with different types of tap changes including disassembly, parts replacement, testing and commissioning; Knowledge of the operation and testing of the protections of transformers such as Buchholz Relay, pressure relief valves, oil, thermometers, relays etc.; Commissioning electronic monitors for transformers and other IEDs; Installation of gas monitoring equipment; Experience with the transformer manufacturing process.
