Specific Skills:This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years related progressive, postbaccalaureate experience. Must also have 12 months of experience which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 developing hydraulic system control concepts for off highway heavy equipment machinery, developing mathematical models of hydraulic systems using dynamic system analysis tools and analyze their performance, and validating the control algorithms through simulation and machine level system analysis using Matlab, SimulinkStateflow; 2 leading machine development activities including vehicle test bed build, prototype hardware lab testing, controller calibrationtuning using Vector Canape and machine testing using CAN communication protocols including XCP, CCP and J1939; 3 supporting manufacturing in meeting production goals by reviewing nonconformance reports, leading root cause analysis, designing of experiments and troubleshooting the end of the line test failures; 4 leading new product introduction projects for hydraulic components through complete design cycles that include requirements management, FEACFD analysis, concept to print release CPPD workflow using CAD Software, and supporting supplier development activities through PPAP approval process, completing DFMEA and creating test instructions for lab validation; and 5 implementing quality initiatives in production on all Continuous Product Improvements CPI related issues using lean manufacturing methodologies including Six Sigma. 5Why and SPC.
