Specific Skills:Masters degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, Engineering, or Informatics and 2 years of data engineering experience, which must include 2 years experience in the following 1 commercially available analytics platforms, including informatica, GoodData, or Looker; 2 relational database management systems, including Oracle and SQL Server, and MPPNoSQL databases, including Hive; 3 SQL for analyzing data and implementing batch processes running in MPP environments; 4 Python for creating complex objectoriented design systems; 5 ETL development for creating high throughout systems processing billions of records; 6 monitoring and operating production data pipelines; 7 performing regression test to identify defects in previous functional components; 8 creating automated monitors to immediately identify failures in the production environment; and 9 analyzing system behavior to identify bottlenecks, perform performance tuning, and advising on performance optimizing opportunities. Experience may be gained before, during, or after masters degree.
