Specific Skills:Further explanation regarding the newspaper advertisements described herein Per 20 CFR 656.17 e 2 ii, an employer filing Form ETA9089 on behalf of a candidate in a nonprofessional occupation is required to place an advertisement on two Sundays in the newspaper of general circulation in the area of intended employment most appropriate to the occupation and the workers likely to apply for the job opportunity and most likely to bring responses from available U.S. workers.br br The employer made a good faith effort to recruit U.S. workers by placing advertisements in the Bangor Daily News, which publishes 6 days a week Monday through Friday and then a single SaturdaySunday edition; the employers advertisements appeared in two SaturdaySunday editions. The Bangor Daily News is the newspaper of general circulation for the area of intended employment, which is in Old Town, Maine. Old Town is about 10 miles north of Bangor and both are within Penobscot County, which comprises the Bangor, ME MSA.br br Thus, in this case, the Bangor Daily News SaturdaySunday edition is functionally the equivalent of a Sundayonly newspaper edition.
