Specific Skills:The position requires a Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, in Statistics or a related field plus one 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related field, including demonstrable knowledge of each of the following Analysis and modeling in C, R, SAS, and Python; Development of machine learning models including GLM, Regularized Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Gradient Boosted Trees, Neural Networks, Clustering and Support Vector Machine; Predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnoses of models including Bayesian analysis, multicollinearity detection, outlier detection, overfitting assessment, ANOVA and residual analysis; Analysis and feature engineering from vehicle telematics data, including spectral analysis, big data EDA, feature creation and data manipulation using PySpark and other cloud computing resources, trip and vehicle level feature aggregation, and predictive modeling using telematics features; Model validation techniques including cross validation, bootstrapping, and out of timeout of sample validation; Insurance pricing models, including building the models and validating results, and addressing US regulatory requirements; Development of generalized linear models and mixed effects models; Extracting, processing and manipulating data including building SQL programs; Insurance business operations and processes in the US and major overseas markets.
