Specific Skills:BS or foreign equivalent in chemical engineering or in a closely related field, plus 4 years of work experience as process engineer, chemical engineer, or in a closely related occupation in mining, manufacturing, andor chemical process industry.br br Must possess expertise knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Required expertise knowledge includes Experience with MOC management of change and PHA process hazard analysis processes, PFDS process flow diagram, PIDS piping instrumentation diagram, developing process schematics. Must have a solid understanding of process and mechanical engineering practices and processes, including mass and energy transfer and fluid flow. Capable of applying engineering and technical problem solving knowledge and skills to analyze complex challenges in ways that deliver measurable and sustainable improvements in operational performance. Must possess manufacturing equipment knowledge including reactors, heat exchangers, piping, and pumps and pumping systems, boilers, filters, cooling systems and technical drawing interpretations. Able to support plants which are in continuous operation. Must be familiar with process equipment operation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of controls and electrical engineering fundamentals. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, verbal and writing skills are required. Expert in data analysis and statistical methods. Must be familiar with computer process and equipment modeling tools.
