Specific Skills:This position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering, plus 5 years of work experience in engine management controls within the automotive industry. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with 1. Optimizing control parameters in software algorithms in the area of base engine calibration charge determination, load torque model, throttle control, etc.; 2. Calibration project management including time schedules, budget tracking and requirements fulfillment; 3. Regulatory requirements in main exterior markets EU5, EU6 and CN6 standards; 4. Engine and vehicle testing using engine test benches and vehicle dynamometers to optimize performance while minimizing harmful emissions production; and 5. Vector calibration data management tool vCDM or similar tools AVL CRETA, DAMOS and managing calibration files.
