Specific Skills:A PhD in statistics, biostatistics or a related field and a commitment to high quality research in statistics and excellence in teaching are required. Required qualifications also include three years of collaborative statistics experience. The position requires a strong commitment to advancing the interdisciplinary research and education mission of the TMI. Candidates with research interests and applied expertise in innovative clinical trials are particularly encouraged to apply. Demonstrated potential for excellence in collaborative research, demonstrated ability to communicate to various audiences, and experience in identifying and securing funds from diverse sources are expected, as is the proven ability to teach advanced disciplinary or interdisciplinary courses. Preferred qualifications include experience in clinical trials work, demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills, and strong organizational and project management skills. Proven ability or demonstrated strong potential to mentor PhD students is also preferred. Preemployment criminal background check required for new hires.
