Specific Skills:Prior to effective date of the appointment all of the following are required DDS Doctor of Dental Surgery or DMD Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Medicine; licensure by Ohio Dental Board; completion of a fouryear residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation CODA and eligibility for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ABOMS qualifying examination as defined by completion of the aforementioned fouryear residency or an ABOMSapproved alternative pathway. This fulltime UC faculty appointment also requires the individual to hold a Physician appointment with UC Physicians, Inc., the affiliated nonprofit practice group of UCs College of Medicine COM and corporate structure for its faculty to provide patient care services per COMs mission. These dual appointments are inseparably integrated into one position, with no delineation of hours worked nor differentiation of responsibilities between the two, as the instruction of medical studentsresidents and academic research required of both is directly based on clinical cases. Failure to maintain either appointment results in automatic and simultaneous termination of both.
