The Board of Trustees was presented with the Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) today for excellence in the preparation and issuance of its 2016-17 budget, Students Come First

首席财务官布拉德·格兰迪向理事会颁发了这项奖项，表示MBA是对整个系统在确保学生始终处于我们工作的前沿所做工作的肯定。

MBA促进和认可学校预算报表的卓越，并提高学校业务官员在制定、分析和呈现学校系统预算方面的技能。经过专业审计师的严格审查, 该奖项只授予那些达到或超过该计划严格标准的校区。CBE是加拿大为数不多的获得MBA的学区之一。
MBA奖来自国际学校业务官员协会（ASBO），该协会为促进学校业务管理实践最高标准、专业成长和教育资源的有效使用提供各种项目和服务。

Chief Financial Officer Brad Grundy presented the award to the Board, saying the MBA was acknowledgment of the work done across the system to ensure students are at the forefront of everything we do.
“This award demonstrates our sound financial practices,” Grundy said. “Our team has worked hard to qualify for such distinction and we are proud to be recognized for this work.”

The MBA promotes and recognizes excellence in school budget presentation and enhances school business officials' skills in developing, analyzing, and presenting a school system budget. After a rigorous review by professional auditors, the award is conferred only on school districts that have met or exceeded the program’s stringent criteria. The CBE is one of few school districts in Canada to achieve the MBA.
The MBA was awarded from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), a professional organization that provides programs and services to promote the highest standards of school business management practices, professional growth, and the effective use of education resources.
