许多学生特地迎接希金斯博士，并亲自感谢他对学校的持续支持。通过EducationMatters的捐赠基金，希金斯博士为学生们留下了持久的遗产。一些学生评论说，能与学校的名字共同创办人见面让他们感到无比自豪，并且认为博士愿意花时间关心并关注他们的成功是多么美妙。

​In partnership with EducationMatters, the staff and students at Dr. Gordon Higgins School celebrated the school's 40th anniversary and the 95th birthday of Dr. Gordon Higgins today.

Joined by his daughter Kathi and grandson Gavin, Dr. Higgins spent the morning at the school visiting classrooms and speaking to students about his passion, financial literacy. The event concluded in the gymnasium, with a slide show photos from the school’s past, some words from Dr. Rupinder K. Toor Mangat, a former Higgins student, and an address from Dr. Higgins himself.

Many students went out of their way to meet with Dr. Higgins and personally thank him for the support that he continues to provide the school. Though an endowment fund at EducationMatters, Dr. Higgins has left a lasting legacy for students. Several commented on the pride they felt in getting to meet the school's namesake and how wonderful they thought it was that he would take time to show he is truly interested in their success.

We are very thankful that Dr. Higgins chose to spend his 95th birthday with us. We hope it was as memorable for him as it was for us!
