整个学校,包括教职员工和学生,都穿着粉红色的衬衫,贴着临时纹身,充满了能量,于2月22日粉红衬衫日,前往Saddledome观看Calgary Hitmen对阵Brandon Wheat Kings的比赛。

Samuel W. Shaw School是参加BE BRAVE活动的32所CBE学校之一。

The Samuel W. Shaw Storm showed they know how to PINK it forward when they participated in the Calgary Hitmen and Telus “BE BRAVE” partnership.

The entire school, staff and students, armed with pink shirts, temporary tattoos and tons of energy, headed to the Saddledome on Feb. 22, Pink Shirt Day, to watch the Calgary Hitmen take on the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Samuel W. Shaw School was one of 32 CBE schools that participated in the BE BRAVE event.
In addition to others school districts, a total 3,946 CBE students and 215 staff along with 262 volunteers filled the Saddledome with PINK.

Celebrating Pink Shirt Day, which promotes standing up against bullying, has always been an important tradition at Samuel W. Shaw School. Students had the opportunity not only to watch a great hockey game, but also hear inspiring words from Calgary Stampeders’ Alumnus Randy Chevrier and four-time Olympic gold medal hockey player Caroline Ouellette. Both athletes spoke to their personal experiences of building people up, how we are a team, and we are all better when we are all stronger.

Samuel W. Shaw School is committed to creating a caring, inclusive community, and participating in great events like these strengthens our resolve to end bullying.

Thank you to Telus and the Calgary Hitmen. Be Brave!
