School Bus Driver Appreciation Day is Monday, May 1. This special day gives teachers, students and families the opportunity to thank school bus drivers and to show them how much their service is valued.

School bus drivers are tasked with one of the most important responsibilities in education - safely transporting our children to and from school.

"We appreciate the dedication and care that our bus drivers take to safely transport our students to school to be ready to learn each day," said Carrie Edwards, director of Planning & Transportation.

Schools and families are invited to take this opportunity to recognize and celebrate school bus drivers on May 1.
