​9月28日星期四，来自Ian Bazalgette School的学生们度过了一个令人惊喜的一天，有机会参与了We Stand Together学校大会，深入了解了各种土著问题、传统和信仰。

当天的活动从一场美丽的开幕式开始，其中包括了Clarence V. Wolfleg长老、Piitoayis Family School的5/6年级鼓手以及MTV VMA大奖获得者Drezus的精彩表演。开幕式结束后，学生们参加了各种自选的讲座，内容涵盖了Powwow、鼓乐、熏香、青年行动主义、帐篷教学等。此外，活动还设有几场与《Elder in the Making》明星Cowboy Smithx的讲座。

整个一天的活动使学生们有机会深入了解土著议题，和橙衫日的主题相呼应，通过教育实现有意义的学习和理解，推动和解。

​Students from Ian Bazalgette School had an amazing day on Thursday, Sept. 28 having the opportunity to engage in amazing learning opportunities about various Indigenous issues, traditions and beliefs at the We Stand Together school conference.

The day began with a beautiful opening ceremony featuring Elder Clarence V. Wolfleg, Grade 5/6 drummers from Piitoayis Family School, and the MTV VMA award winning rapper Drezus. After the ceremony, students went to a variety of sessions of their choosing featuring topics like Powwow, drumming, smudging, youth activism, tipi teachings and more. The event also included a few sessions with "Elder in the Making" star, Cowboy Smithx. 

The entire day really allowed students to engage in deep learning opportunities surrounding Indigenous topics to tie in with Orange Shirt Day, and focus on meaningful learning and understanding for reconciliation through education.
