Grade 6 students in three different classes at Senator Patrick Burns School decided to participate in collecting donations for a single mother and 3 year old girl who were nominated on AMP Radio Calgary.

Grade 6 students in three different classes at Senator Patrick Burns School decided to participate in collecting donations for a single mother and three-year-old girl who were nominated on AMP Radio Calgary. Students were moved by the story this family and were anxious to be active citizens in the Calgary community and work together to support this family in need.
Together, students were able to donate approximately 10 gift cards to various stores in the city, an iPod touch, an iPhone 4, and various toys and books along with almost $200 in cash which was used to purchase memberships to Telus Spark and a Frozen-themed tricycle.
