国家体育学校的学生运动员学生会于11月6日星期二就2026年奥运会申办进行了学生全民投票。

投票站由学校的领导学生在全天值班。所有学生都被邀请参与以模拟投票体验。这次模拟全民投票帮助学生们理解“人民意志”的力量，以及选民投票率和政府行为是如何受到政治过程的影响的。这个经验直接与社会学科课程有关，同时也是教育系统希望创造的终身实践——公民参与政治过程，保护和促进加拿大强大的民主价值观。

鼓励所有卡尔加里市民行使他们的民主权利，获取信息并投票。

​Student athletes at the National Sport School student council held a student plebiscite on the potential 2026 Olympic bid on Tuesday, Nov. 6. 

The polling booths were open for the day staffed by the school’s leadership students. All students were invited to participate to simulate the voting experience. The mock plebiscite helped the students to understand the power of the “will of the people,” voter turnout and how actions of governments are driven by political processes. This experience related directly to the Social Studies curriculum, as well as a lifelong practice the education system hopes to create – citizens engaged in political processes to protect and promote Canada’s strong democratic values.

All Calgarians are encouraged to exercise their democratic right to vote, get informed and cast their ballot.
