尤西尔指出，有功预算奖（MBA）承认了CBE在与公众的透明度和沟通上的承诺。去年，CBE是仅有的四个获得该奖项的加拿大教育部门之一。
有功预算奖（MBA）鼓励董事会在编制有效预算报告、遵守明确的预算报告准则、通过易读的预算文档向社区作出承诺，并且遵守国际公认的预算报告标准方面的技能。
在经过专业审计师的严格审查后，该奖项只授予满足或超过计划严格标准的学区。
有功预算奖（MBA）由国际学校商务官员协会（ASBO）颁发，该协会是一个专业组织，提供促进最高学校商业管理实践标准、专业增长和有效使用教育资源的方案和服务。

Usih noted that the MBA acknowledges the CBE’s commitment to transparency and communication with our public. The CBE was one of only four Canadian jurisdictions to qualify for the award last year.
The MBA promotes a board’s skills in developing an effective budget presentation, compliance with clear budget presentation guidelines, commitment to the community through a reader-friendly budget document, and adherence to nationally recognized budget presentation standards.
After a rigorous review by professional auditors, the award is conferred only on school districts that have met or exceeded the program’s stringent criteria.
The MBA is awarded by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), a professional organization that provides programs and services to promote the highest standards of school business management practices, professional growth, and the effective use of education resources.
