​The Calgary Board of Education's Board of Trustees will host a public meeting on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at Rosscarrock School.

The purpose of the meeting is to share information about the consideration of closure of Rosscarrock school, and to allow for input and questions. At least two trustees will be present and public input into this important matter is welcome.

This public meeting follows a decision at the regular Board meeting Feb. 5, when trustees passed the following resolution:

THAT the Board of Trustees is satisfied that there is cause to proceed with a consideration of closure of Rosscarrock School in accordance with the Closure of Schools Regulation.

The School Act and its associated regulations identify the formal process that must be followed when closure is being considered, prior to the Board of Trustees making its decision on whether or not to close this school.
