共有13所CBE高中参加了5月7日至9日的省级技能竞赛，包括鲍纳斯、百周年、中央纪念、约翰·吉·迪芬贝克尔、欧内斯特·曼宁、林荫大道、亨利·维斯·伍德、杰克·詹姆斯、詹姆斯·富勒、莱斯特·B·皮尔逊、洛德·比弗布鲁克、纳尔逊·曼德拉和职业与技术中心。
CBE队在省级竞赛中共获得33枚奖牌：9个安全奖、6金牌、11银牌和7铜牌。学生参加了35个技工和技术竞赛项目中的23个项目。CBE在这些项目的65%中获奖，包括在三个项目中包揽整个领奖台的成绩。
六位金牌得主获得了参加5月27日至30日在新斯科舍哈利法克斯举行的第25届全国技能竞赛的机会。有五个项目在全国层面上获得了奖牌。

Skills Alberta Canada seeks to promote skilled trades and technologies with the goals to promote career pathways in the trades and technologies, and work to enhance the quality of technological education. Participation in the Skills competitions supports the three-year education plan.
Thirteen CBE high schools participated in the Provincial Skills competition from May 7 – 9 including Bowness, Centennial, Central Memorial, John G. Diefenbaker, Ernest Manning, Forest Lawn, Henry Wise Wood, Jack James, James Fowler, Lester B. Pearson, Lord Beaverbrook, Nelson Mandela and The Career and Technology Centre.
The CBE group earned 33 medals at the Provincial competition: 9 safety awards, 6 gold, 11 silver and 7 bronze. Students participated in 23 out of the 35 skilled trades and technologies competition events. CBE medalled in 65 per cent of those events, including sweeping the podium in three events.
Six gold medalists got the opportunity to join Team Alberta and compete at the 25th National Skills competition from May 27 – 30, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Five events won medals at the National level.
