在11月1日星期五，亚伯达政府宣布为卡尔加里教育局建设两所已经公布的学校和一所新的小学的建筑资金。设计费用已经在去年春季提供给奥本湾中学（5-9年级）和北卡尔加里高中（10-12年级），而此新资金将允许建设继续进行。奥本湾社区还将建造第二所小学。

“我们谨代表学生们感谢亚伯达政府今天的宣布。我们北卡尔加里的家庭将因该所高中的落成而非常高兴，”CBE董事长玛丽莲·丹尼斯（Marilyn Dennis）表示。

“奥本湾不断壮大的社区将会有学生在家附近上学，有了中学和第二所小学的建设。”

CBE计划在2020-21学年在科文特里希尔斯、克兰斯顿（西比拉·基德尔学校）和常青社区（弗里达·米勒学校）开设三所新的小学。此外，还计划在红树林社区建造一所新的小学和在Skyview Ranch建造一所K-9学校。

在2019年3月19日的公共董事会议上，卡尔加里教育局董事会批准了2020-2023三年学校资金计划，要求省政府提供八所新学校和十个主要现代化建设项目。

教育部长Adriana LaGrange在Nose Creek School宣布新的学校项目。

On Friday, Nov. 1 the Government of Alberta announced construction dollars to build two previously-announced schools and a new elementary school for the Calgary Board of Education. Funding of the design of an Auburn Bay middle school (Grade 5-9) and the North Calgary High School (Grades 10-12) was provided last spring and this new funding will allow construction to proceed. A second elementary school will also be built in the community of Auburn Bay.

“On behalf of our students, we thank the Government of Alberta for today’s announcement. Our families in north Calgary will be thrilled to see this high school come to fruition,” said CBE Board Chair Marilyn Dennis.

“The growing community of Auburn Bay will see students attending school closer to home with the construction of the middle school and a second elementary school.”

The CBE is scheduled to open three new elementary schools in the 2020-21 school year in the communities of Coventry Hills, Cranston (Sibylla Kiddle School) and Evergreen (Dr. Freda Miller School). As well, a new elementary school in the community of Mahogany and a K-9 school in Skyview Ranch are planned.

At the March 19, 2019 public board meeting, the Calgary Board of Education Board of Trustees approved the Three-Year School Capital Plan 2020-2023 requesting eight new schools and 10 major modernizations from the provincial government.
