遵循传统校历的学校的开学第一天是2021年9月1日（星期三），而遵循修正校历的学校的开学第一天是2021年8月17日（星期二）。

校际校历确定了统一的开学和放假日期，并为学校安排家长-教师会议、专业发展和组织日提供了10天的时间。学校可以在与他们的学校社区和教育主管咨询的情况下，根据阿尔伯塔教育和CBE对教学的要求，确定晚到或早退的日期。

​The 2021-22 school calendars have been finalized and posted.

The first day for schools following the traditional calendar  is Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, while schools following the modified calendar begin Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021.

System calendars establish common start and end days, and 10 system-wide days for schools to schedule parent-teacher conferences, professional development and organizational days. Schools may identify late entries or early dismissals in consultation with their school community and education director, and in alignment with Alberta Education and CBE requirements for instruction.

While most of our schools follow the traditional calendar, a number use a modified calendar with an earlier start to the school year and additional breaks throughout the year. Please visit our system calendar page or your school’s website for more information.
