表彰原住民毕业生

今年6月，CBE的原住民教育团队和所有的CBE高中都在表彰和庆祝所有自我认定为原住民的12年级毕业生的努力和奉献。

他们制作了一个毕业视频，其中包含了长者和知识传承者的祝贺信息，以及由西基卡国家的Frank和Darcy Turning Robe赠送给毕业生的黑脚荣誉歌曲。视频还展示了许多毕业生自己的照片和他们希望分享的任何留言。每个CBE高中都安排了一个在线活动，在6月份与原住民毕业生及其家人观看视频。

整个CBE社区希望这个视频能够提醒他们，他们的杰出成就没有被忽视，CBE和原住民社区对他们感到非常自豪。

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of National Indigenous Peoples Day which occurs annually on June 21st. The month of June is also recognized nationally as Indigenous History Month. The CBE is proud to acknowledge this day and month by celebrating and honouring the hard work and dedication of all graduating Grade 12 students who self-identify as Indigenous.

Indigenous Graduates Honoured

This June, the CBE Indigenous Education Team and all CBE high schools are acknowledging and celebrating the hard work and dedication of all graduating Grade 12 students who self-identify as Indigenous. 

A graduation video has been created comprised of congratulatory messages from Elders and Knowledge Keepers as well as a Blackfoot honour song gifted to graduates by Frank and Darcy Turning Robe of the Siksika Nation. The video also features images of many of the graduates themselves and any message they wished to have shared. Each CBE high school has scheduled an online event in June to view the video with Indigenous graduates and their families.

The entire CBE community hopes that this video will serve as a reminder that their incredible accomplishment has not gone unnoticed and that the CBE and Indigenous community is incredibly proud of them.
