当黄色校车交通发生变化时，学校的起讫时间也会受到影响。这是因为起讫时间与交通直接相关。学校起讫时间的统一可以使交通更加高效，每辆校车可以运行多条线路。这样就会创造一个可靠的交通系统，让学生能够安全、准时地到校并做好准备学习。

过去三年间，CBE经历了历史性的入学增长，因为越来越多的家庭搬到卡尔加里。不断增长的人口数量也对交通产生了影响：

• 增加了校车乘客数量，需要更多的校车路线
  
• 很多学校已经爆满，导致更多的学生需要交通工具去有空间的学校上课。
  
• 道路上的交通增加，这意味着校车需要更多的时间来完成路线。

​​​​​​​​​For the 2025-26 school year, the CBE will be expanding yellow bus service and adjusting walk zones. This is in response to Alberta Education’s School Transportation Amendment Regulation​ that comes into effect on Sept. 1, 2025. This means many more students will become eligible to take the bus.

When changes are made to yellow bus transportation, it has an impact on bell times for schools. That’s because bell times are directly connected to transportation. Aligning bell times across schools makes transportation more efficient, allowing each bus to run multiple routes. This creates a reliable transportation system, allowing students to get to school safely, on time and ready to learn. 

All the bell times for the 2025-26 school year are available on the Bell Times page. 

The CBE has experienced record enrolment growth over the past three years as more families move to Calgary. A growing population also impacts transportation by:

• Increasing yellow school bus ridership and requiring more bus routes
  
• Filling up many of our schools, resulting in more students requiring transportation to attend schools that have space. 
  
• Increasing traffic on the roads, which means buses need a little more time to complete their routes.
