2025年3月14日，艾伯塔省政府宣布为卡尔加里教育委员会提供10所新学校的设计资金。 这笔资金是2025年省级预算的一部分，旨在解决该地区学校自2022-23年以来学生人数显著增加所面对的入学压力。

2026-29三年学校资本计划将包括CBE的下一个新学校和现代化申请的优先列表，将于2025年3月18日由董事会提交并讨论。​

On March 14, 2025, Alberta’s provincial government announced​ design funding for 10 new schools for the Calgary Board of Education. This funding is part of the 2025 provincial budget and aims to tackle enrolment pressures faced by schools in the region, which have seen a significant increase in student numbers since 2022-23. 

Together with the two schools announced in February 2025 and the three schools announced between 2022 to 2024, the CBE will receive 15 new schools: one new high school, six new elementary schools and eight new middle schools in some of the fastest-growing Calgary communities.

“We are grateful to the Government of Alberta for recognizing the urgent need for new learning spaces. Our hope is that through the School Construction Accelerator Program these schools will quickly move from design to shovels in the ground. It will be a great day when we can welcome students and staff into each of these new schools,” said CBE Board Chair, Patricia Bolger.

"Schools are the hub of a community, drawing neighbours together and building relationships. When families have a school close to where they live, their kids can attend the same school as others in the neighbourhood and families can find it easier to become involved in the life of their community.”

These projects will be built by Alberta Infrastructure. The next steps would be to select a consultant to produce the design, followed by a general contractor to deliver. ​

The 2026-29 Three-Year School Capital Plan, which includes the CBE’s next priority list for new schools and modernization requests, will be presented and discussed by the Board of Trustees on March 18, 2025.​
