身份保护和信用监控服务  ​

PowerSchool已委托值得信赖的信用报告机构TransUnion和Experian，为所有从我们的PowerSchool学生信息系统中泄露信息的学生和教育工作者提供两年的免费信用和身份保护服务。

• TransUnion将提供信用监控服务，适用于已达到法定年龄的人。

因为Experian在加拿大不提供信用监控服务，所以TransUnion提供信用监控服务。

​Since CBE was informed of the cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool on Jan. 7, we have been working proactively with PowerSchool, as well as conducting an internal investigation to determine the extent of the breach and the number of individuals impacted. 

We are reaching out to you today to share more information and next steps we received directly from PowerSchool. We remain committed to informing CBE staff and families on this matter and will do everything possible to provide accurate information about the information taken to those impacted. However, we do not have confirmation from PowerSchool about the number of CBE students and staff impacted nor clarification on what data may have been breached. 

Identity Protection and Credit Monitoring Services  ​

PowerSchool has engaged TransUnion and Experian, trusted credit reporting agencies, to offer two years of complimentary credit and identity protection and services for all students and educators whose information from our PowerSchool student information system was involved.  

• TransUnion will offer credit monitoring services, which will be available for those who have reached the age of majority. 
• ​Experian will offer identity protection services, which will be available for all involved students and educators. 

Credit monitoring is being provided by TransUnion because Experian does not offer credit monitoring in Canada. 

More information on this service will be shared with staff and families in the near future, including how to enroll in identity protection services.
