​​​​​卡尔加里教育委员会董事会正在寻找志愿者加入其审计和风险委员会。

卡尔加里教育委员会（CBE）是加拿大西部最大的学校董事会，为约14万名学生提供服务。其运营预算近14亿美元。审计和风险委员会向董事会汇报，由两名选举产生的受托人和五名卡尔加里教育委员会外部的志愿者组成。

委员会的目的是通过确保CBE资产得到保护并且资源有效利用，协助董事会履行其财务和风险管理监督责任。委员会的具体职责包括推荐外部审计师，审查和推荐年度审计计划，评估外部审计师的效果，审查和推荐年终财务报表和审计结果，审查内部审计报告，审查每季度预算差异报告，及审查风险管理框架及相关报告。

志愿者将在委员会任职三年，并参加大约每年一月、三月、六月和十一月共四次会议。该职务还涉及在会议之前审查财务、审计和风险管理文件。理想的候选人将具有会计审计、商业或法律背景，并在以下领域具有能力：

• 财务管理/会计审计
• 财务规划
• 内部审计
  
• 风险管理
• 企业领导
• 公共部门/非营利经验
• 政府事务/公共政策

​​​​​The Calgary Board of Education Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers for its Audit and Risk Committee. 

The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) is the largest school board in Western Canada, serving approximately 140,000 students. It has an operating budget of nearly 1.4 billion dollars. The Audit and Risk Committee reports to the Board of Trustees and is comprised of two elected trustees and five volunteer individuals external to the Calgary Board of Education. 

The purpose of the committee is to assist the Board of Trustees in fulfilling is fiscal and risk management oversight responsibilities by ensuring the assets of CBE are safeguarded and resources are utilized effectively. Specific duties of the committee include recommend the external auditor, review and recommend the annual audit plan, assess the effectiveness of the external auditor, review and recommend the year-end financial statements and audit findings, review internal audit reports, review quarterly budget variance reports, and review the risk management framework and related reports. 

Volunteers serve on the Committee for three years and attend approximately four meetings per year in January, March, June and November. The role also involves reviewing financial, audit and risk management documents in advance of meetings. The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting, business or law, having competencies in the areas of:

• Financial Management / Accounting Audit
• Financial Planning
• Internal Audit
  
• Risk Management
• Corporate Leadership
• Public Sector / Not for Profit Experience
• ​Government Affairs / ​Public Policy
