The flags at CBE schools and buildings will be lowered to half-mast at the end of day on Thursday, Sept. 29 to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, Sept. 30.
The day honours the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Sept. 30 is a non-operational day for employees and a non-instructional day for students and our schools and workplaces will be closed.
Flags will be returned to full-mast on Monday morning.
