Western Canada High School荣获2016年加拿大政府国家历史奖三个奖项。

两位学生Matthew Li和Haochen Zhang分别荣获加拿大政府国家历史奖学生奖。

邀请加拿大各地的10年级和11年级学生回答五个具有挑战性的问题，并以他们自己的文章回答。每年有225名学生获得1000加元的奖金。

WCHS的教师Jarrod Fuhr获得加拿大政府国家历史奖教师奖。

这些奖项授予全加拿大的高中教师。教师被邀请提交他们最好的项目，以帮助纪念加拿大未来几年的重要里程碑和纪念活动。每年最多有30名教师获得每人2000加元的奖金。

​Three Government of Canada National History Awards presented to Western Canada High School
Western Canada High School is the proud home of three 2016 Government of Canada National History Award recipients.

Two students, Matthew Li and Haochen Zhang are recipients of the Government of Canada National History Award for Students.

Grade 10 and 11 students from across Canada are invited to answer one of five challenging questions with their own essay answer. Up to 225 students are awarded prizes of $1,000 each.

Jarrod Fuhr, a teacher at WCHS, was presented with the Government of Canada National History Award for Teachers. The awards are presented to high school teachers across Canada. Teachers are invited to submit their best project to help mark some of the important milestones and commemorations taking place in Canada over the coming years. Up to 30 teachers are awarded prizes of $2,000 each.

Mr. Fuhr’s submission included a classroom task that challenged his students on different perspectives of residential schools. His project challenges students to reconcile contradictory historical narratives through research.
